Spring Clear water filters and replacement cartridges

Upgrade Fitting Details

 

FITTING THE EVERPURE SYSTEM BY REPLACING THE FRANKE TRIFLOW WHITE PLASTIC HOUSING (Version2)


TOOLS REQUIRED
 A sharp Stanley type Knife
 A medium Posidrive Screwdriver

METHOD – REMOVING OLD FRANKE SYSTEM
1. Turn on and leave on the filter tap to release the pressure in the system, this will also indicate that the water 
    supply has been turned off.
2. Turn OFF the isolation tap (usually a Blue Handled tap at the end of the BLUE Inlet pipe.)

3. Cut the 3/8” BLUE Inlet Pipe next to the push fit fitting on the head of the housing.

4. Cut the 1/4” GREEN Outlet Pipe next to the push fit fitting on the head of the housing.

5. Lift off the OLD filter housing and discard.

6. Undo the screws from the BLACK Bracket to the old housing and discard.


METHOD – FITTING THE NEW EVERPURE SYSTEM

1. Undo the pre-assembled cartridge from the EVERPURE head/bracket – 1/4 turn Anticlockwise.

2. Fix the head/bracket in the same location as the original housing.

3. Push the BLUE Pipe all the way into the Inlet side of the head, make sure it  is fully pushed in.

4. Push the GREEN Pipe all the way into the Outlet side of the head, make sure it  is fully pushed in.

5. Re-fit the cartridge into the head 1/4 turn Clockwise.

6. DO NOT BE ALARMED IF THE CARTRIDGE FEELS LOOSE AND SPONGY IN THE HEAD,
    IT WILL FIRM UP WHEN UNDER PRESSURE

7. Turn on the water at the Blue handled Isolation valve.

8. Allow the water to flow through the system and the open filter tap.

9. Let the water flow for 2/3 minutes or until the water runs clear in a glass.

10. Check for leaks

11. Job done!

 


 

FITTING THE EVERPURE SYSTEM BY REPLACING THE FRANKE TRIFLOW STAINLESS STEEL HOUSING (Version 3)


TOOLS REQUIRED

A medium Posidrive  Screwdriver
 
An adjustable Spanner

METHOD – REMOVING OLD FRANKE SYSTEM

1. Turn off the water supply to the existing housing by turning the blue handled isolation valve a 1/4 of a turn.

2. Turn on and leave on the filter tap to release the pressure in the system, this will also indicate that the water 
    supply has been turned off.

3. Undo the 1/2” BSP INLET pipe nut on the Stainless Steel Housing -  Anti-Clockwise, there will be residual water
    in this pipe so make provision for this.

4. Undo the 3/8” BSP OUTLET pipe nut on the Stainless Steel Housing -  Anti-Clockwise, there will be residual water
    in this pipe so make provision for this.

5. Lift the Stainless Steel Housing off the Black Plastic mounting bracket and put to one side.

6. Unscrew the screws holding the Black Plastic mounting bracket to the wall/cabinet.

7. Make sure that the black rubber washers are still in tact in the ends of the hoses.

METHOD – FITTING THE NEW EVERPURE SYSTEM

1. Undo the pre-assembled cartridge from the EVERPURE head/bracket – 1/4 turn Anticlockwise.

2. Fix the head/bracket in the same location as the original housing.

3.  Again make sure that the black rubber washers are still in tact in the ends of the hoses, Re-fix the 1/2” BSP INLET
    pipe to the INLET side of the new EVERPURE Head - DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

4. Re-fix the 3/8” BSP OUTLET pipe to the OUTLET side of the new EVERPURE head -DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

5. Re-fit the cartridge into the head 1/4 turn Clockwise.

6. DO NOT BE ALARMED IF THE CARTRIDGE FEELS LOOSE AND SPONGY IN THE HEAD,
    IT WILL FIRM UP WHEN UNDER PRESSURE.
7. Turn on the water at the Blue handled Isolation valve.

8. Allow the water to flow through the system and the open filter tap.

9. Let the water flow for 2/3 minutes or until the water runs clear in a glass & check for leaks.

PLEASE NOTE:- PROVIDING IT IS IN GOOD CONDITION, we will take your old Stainless Steel Housing in part exchange if you upgrade to the EVERPURE SYSTEM
